The $184 billion Teacher Retirement System of Texas in Austin made another $800 million-plus in capital commitments across its private equity, real estate, energy and natural resources portfolios last month.
The majority of assets went into private equity funds, with new commitments totaling $425 million. A $250 million commitment went to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice Fund XII, L.P., a U.S.-focused buyout fund. Another $150 million was committed to a tech-focused fund, Thoma Bravo Discover Fund IV, L.P.
