Institutional allocators, most notably pension systems, upped their allocations to both private equity and credit over the month of October, according to the latest AW Research Investor Scorecard.
In total, over $8.2 billion was allocated across private equity, credit, real assets, real estate and infrastructure. PE commitments totaled $3.7 billion, while credit totaled $2.3 billion for the month. The moves come as allocators take stock of liquidity and forge a path for next year as uncertainty remains concerning the actions of the Federal Reserve and the macro-economic environment generally.
