Schonfeld Strategic Advisors appointed long-time senior leaders to regional strategy heads in the U.S., EMEA and APAC. The appointees will lead the firm’s Fundamental Equity platform comprising long/short and discretionary strategies across a variety of sectors and geographies.
“Having dedicated regional leadership across our Fundamental Equity business is a natural step in our evolution,” said Ryan Tolkin, CEO and CIO of Schonfeld, which oversees a multi-manager approach to its $14.5 billion portfolio.
John Tompkins, based in Florida, will assume the new role of head of U.S. Fundamental Equity. John has served as a consumer portfolio manager within the business for 10 years, in both an external partner fund and internal portfolio manager capacity.
Russell Hartley and Alex Codrington, based in London, will assume the new titles of co-heads of EMEA Fundamental Equity. They will continue serving in their roles as portfolio managers, which they have been operating in since joining Schonfeld in 2018.
Eric To, based in Hong Kong, will continue to play dual roles as the head of APAC Fundamental Equity, in addition to serving as co-head of APAC alongside Chris Antonelli. His day-to-day responsibilities will remain the same. Eric joined the firm in 2017 as part of Schonfeld’s Folger Hill Asia acquisition.
