Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe (WCAS) closed its largest fund to date at over $5 billion with strong interest from both new and long-time investors.
The four largest investors in WCAS XIV increased their capital commitments by 25% from the firm’s prior fund, WCAS XIII, which closed at $4.3 billion in 2019. One of the fund’s investors was the Minnesota State Board of Investment, which allocated $150 million in 2022.
