Private Equity
- Julian Salisbury will become a partner at Sixth Street and serve as co-CIO alongside CEO Alan Waxman and Co-President Joshua Easterly in early 2024. With 25 years of experience to his credit, Salisbury joins from Goldman Sachs, where he served most recently as CIO of the asset and wealth management division.
- Gerry Anderson joined Arclight Capital Partners as a senior advisor and board member of ArcLight Power Infrastructure. Anderson, who recently retired as executive chairman of DTE Energy, will help ArcLight line up new investment targets in the utility, renewables and carbon capture sectors.
- Lightyear Capital named Tom Naratil as an operating partner to Lightyear Fund V. In this new role, Naratil, who was most recently co-president of UBS Global Wealth Management and president of UBS Americas, will work to advance Lightyear’s investments in the wealth management and financial services sector.
- Battery Ventures announced six internal promotions. Danel Dayan, based in Menlo Park, Calif., and Max-Julian Kaye, based in Boston, were promoted to principals, while Becca Jones, based in New York, was promoted to vice president. Battery also named Jack Mattei and Isabel von Stauffenberg, both based in New York, and Katie Solarz, based in Boston, to associates.
- Mandy Adamou joined Fiera Capital in the new, London-based role of managing director, head of consultant relations, EMEA. Reporting to Klaus Schuster, executive director and chief executive officer, EMEA, she will also chair Fiera Capital’s global consultant committee. She brings over 25 years of experience in consultant relations and served most recently in a similar capacity at PineBridge Investments.
- Europe-focused mid-market private equity firm Stanley Capital Partners has expanded its team by hiring James Sexton and Frederik Fogtdal as principals. James will join the growth and investor relations team, primarily focusing on fundraising activities. Frederik will be part of the transformation team, working closely with portfolio companies to enhance operational efficiencies and drive growth. James brings experience from roles at Aon Hewitt, BC Partners, OMERS, Rede Partners, and Investcorp, while Frederik was previously a Director for Private Equity Services at Alvarez and Marsal in London.
- HighPost Capital hired David Weston as managing director of its HighPost Fund I. Weston will have responsibility over new investment opportunities in the consumer-focused firm’s core sectors. Weston bring about 18 years of experience across the consumer sector.
- Southfield Capital promoted Brandon Pinderhughes to partner. Pinderghughes, who has been with the lower middle market private equity firm since 2014, is currently on the board of three Southfield portfolio companies.

- Scott Delaney joined Winston & Strawn as a partner in the firm’s Dallas office. He is part of the transactions department’s private equity transactions practice, with a key focus on the firm’s energy & infrastructure industry group. Scott’s expertise lies in corporate transactions, catering to both public and private companies, as well as private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, with a specific emphasis on the energy sector.
- Nick Melton and Owen Weihman joined Brown Gibbons Lang & Company as new managing directors within the firm’s infrastructure & environment division. Based in New York, the duo will be tasked with setting up a new BGL investment banking team focused on digital infrastructure. Melton has 30 years of experience in telecommunications and digital infrastructure, including holding managing director roles at Greenhill and Lazard, Rothschild. Weihman brings over 15 years of experience in strategic advisory, digital infrastructure, and renewable energy, including acting as a director in the mergers & acquisitions group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
- Strategic communications agency Haven Tower Group added four noted industry leaders to its board of advisors: Andy Kalbaugh, founder and managing partner of Cassique Strategies; Jeff Nash, founder and CEO of Bridgemark Strategies; Kent Weldon, managing partner of Bravura Capital; and Sid Yenamandra, founder and CEO of Surge Ventures. The board’s expansion boosts Haven Tower’s expertise in key area of the wealth management space that is the agency’s key focus.
- Oppenheimer welcomed Sean Minnihan as the new managing director and head of financial technology investment banking for its global technology investment banking team in New York. Minnihan, who previously worked at Nomura, possesses an impressive track record of over 25 years in the financial technology industry. Throughout his career, he has provided valuable expertise in advising on a diverse range of M&A, private equity, and capital-raising transactions.
- Rodney Bedow returned to Burns & Levinson as a partner. He will be part of both the tax and business law groups and will also assume the role of co-chair of the tax group. Before returning to Burns & Levinson, he served as a partner at Brown Rudnick. His practice on tax planning and transactions involving corporations and partnerships.
- D.A. Davidson added Glen Sulam, Kevin DeThomas and Alex Gamache to its equity capital markets group. Sulam, who serves as D.A. Davidson’s head of trading, brings over 30 years of experience in trading operations. DeThomas joins as managing director, institutional equities trading, after more than 16 years at William Blair, bringing extensive experience as a position trader in the consumer and technology sectors. Gamache , who joins as vice president, institutional equities sales, was previously on William Blair’s institutional equities team. Sulam and DeThomas are based in New York, while Gamache is in Chicago.

- Oak Hill Advisors appointed Josh Drazen as managing director and head of product strategy. He previously held the position of global head of product strategy in private wealth solutions at Blackstone and brings a decade of experience in leading product strategy teams. Based in New York, Josh will report to Fritz Thomas, partner and the head of client coverage. His extensive expertise will enhance OHA’s efforts in the wealth channel and contribute to the ongoing development of new products in the institutional markets.
- Silicon Valley Bank named Megan Scheffel as head of credit solutions for life science and healthcare. A 26-year SVB veteran, she will be based in Washington, D.C., leading a national team tasked with providing specialized debt financings to support SVB’s life science and healthcare clients at all stages.
- David Steele is assuming the position of president and COO at Third Eye Capital on Aug. 15. Previously, he held the role of Canadian president and CEO at Russell Investments. In his new role, Steele will be responsible for supervising the company’s operational and administrative aspects.
- Fintex Capital, the fintech investment firm specializing in private debt, has appointed Tony Trahar as their strategic advisor. Tony brings a distinguished career of 40 years at the helm of global business, which includes serving as CEO of Anglo-American for seven years.
Real Estate
- Levi Williamson joined CREC Real Estate as director of business development. Williamson’s main responsibilities will revolve around fundraising and expanding the firm’s connections with institutional investors and financial intermediaries, both in North America and on a global scale. Having served most recently as director of business development at Optima Asset Management, he brings a 17-year track record of raising capital across numerous private and public investment vehicles.

- Homrich Berg added Lauren Vick Burthey as a director in the firm’s family office division in Atlanta. Burthey, who was most recently a vice president at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, will focus on ultra-high-net-worth families.
