- Ben Laufer joined Edison Partners’ investment team as a principal. He will work on investments in fintech and healthcare, and will also establish the sixth Center of Excellence under the firm’s value creation platform, Edison Edge. Laufer was most recently a director at enterprise software-focused private equity firm PeakEquity Partners, and has previously held positions at MRI Software, investment manager NISA and software-focused investment bank Arbor Advisors.

- BNP Paribas Securities named Matt O’Connor as head of its new Miami office and Annabella Espina as the firm’s chief operating officer. O’Connor, who currently serves as managing director, global macro institutional sales at BNP Paribas in New York, has been with the bank since 2014, before which he was head of commodity investor sales at Deutsche Bank and held various positions at Lehman Brothers. Espina, who joined BNP Paribas in 2006 and has held several senior positions within the Bank in Paris, New York and Mexico City, where she is currently the CFO of CIB Mexico.
- Rothschild & Co. added Alex Mironov and Matthew O’Donnell to its healthcare team as managing directors. Mironov, who will be based in New York, brings over 20 years of global experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, including serving as chief business officer and executive vice president at Covis Pharma Group. O’Donnell, who will be based in Rothschild & Co.’s Boston office, joins from Piper Sandler & Co.’s information-driven healthcare group, where he served as a director.
Private Credit
- Cresset appointed Bradley Schneider as managing director and head of private credit. Schneider joins from Midwest Holding, where he held the position of head of private credit. With over 20 years of experience to his credit, Schneider served most recently as a partner at Sound Point Capital, prior to which he was a senior credit analyst at Apollo Management focused on private credit and distressed investments. In his new role at Cresset, he will oversee the strategic leadership and growth of Cresset’s holistic private credit program, including the firm’s flagship private credit vehicle.

Investors
- The Ontario Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (OMERS) named Michael Hill as executive vice president & global head of infrastructure, reporting to Chief Investment Officer Ralph Berg. Hill brings over 30 years of global investment experience. His role at OMERS, which will start on Sept. 5 and will be based in New York, will give him oversight for the pension fund’s global infrastructure investment and asset management programs.
