Digital transformation-focused private equity firm BayPine made two senior appointments in an expansion of its senior leadership team.
Cory Eaves has joined to lead BayPine’s digital transformation and portfolio operations team, with a focus on driving digital transformation initiatives within the firm and its portfolio companies. Jason Currier is joining as partner and chief financial officer.
“BayPine is pioneering a new category of private equity — digital transformation capital — which seeks to create lasting value by using technology, data and artificial intelligence to help companies fundamentally transform their businesses,” said Eaves in a statement. “I am excited to work alongside the BayPine team and the management of its portfolio companies to help build durable, future-proof businesses for the benefit of all stakeholders.”
Eaves joins from previously General Atlantic, where he was one of the first operating partners and helped build and scale their portfolio value-add capability for nearly 15 years, officials said.
Currier said in a statement, “BayPine has quickly established itself as a premier private equity firm that combines the agility and forward-thinking approach of an emerging manager with the talent and operational excellence of a large, longtime investment platform.”
Currier joins from Audax Private Equity, where he served as a managing director and chief financial officer overseeing financial reporting, valuations and administration of Audax Group’s private equity funds and the financial operations of the private equity business. Before joining Audax, he was a vice president of finance at General Atlantic and previously served as controller at Bessemer Venture Partners.
