Macquarie Asset Management hired Ben Taylor as a managing director within the client solutions group focusing on investor relations, product development and capital raising for its private credit business in the Americas.
Taylor is rejoining Macquarie from Audax Private Debt, where he focused on insurance solutions efforts over the last three years. He expanded investor relationships at the firm on a global basis. Prior to Audax, he served as a managing director at Pinnacle Trust Partners, where he launched and raised capital for new private credit strategies with a focus on insurance-oriented investment solutions.
For Macquarie’s $200 billion credit platform, the senior hire supports continued growth and adds to a deep bench of over 65 origination, execution, portfolio monitoring and client service professionals. The investments are bolstered by the firm’s well-known infrastructure and renewables sector expertise and global experience across the credit markets.
“We’re incredibly pleased to have Ben join us in New York,” said Adam Lygoe, Macquarie Asset Management’s head of Institutional and International Wealth Distribution. “He brings a wealth of experience working with insurers across North America and Asia-Pacific. We are confident that he will enhance our ability to design, structure and successfully close a variety of capital efficient solutions for institutional investors who are allocating to private credit.”
Taylor’s joining follows the high-profile hire of Alliance Bernstein alum Vivek Bommi as head of the $5 billion leveraged credit portfolio at Macquarie.
