Aperture Investors named Louis Molinari as chief marketing officer this month with responsibility for overseeing the $3.67 billion firm’s fundraising efforts across its strategies globally.
Aperture Investors, which was founded in 2018 and is led by industry veteran Peter Kraus and insurer Generali, offers long/short credit strategies and a variety of equity strategies. Molinari is well known for his leadership roles including at Barclays Capital, where he was the global head of capital introductions and hedge fund consulting working closely with institutional investors.
He also previously served as president at Wachovia, managing partner at Metropolitan West Financial, and managing director at Merrill Lynch.
“With a remarkable four-decade tenure in institutional finance, Lou brings unparalleled expertise and a demonstrated history of success in growing a wide range of global asset management and asset financing businesses, particularly in the development of capital formation strategies for hedge funds and other institutional products,” said Kraus, chairman and CEO of Aperture Investors. “Lou joins at an opportune time as Aperture expands its product offerings.”
