The Virginia Retirement System (VRS) in Richmond announced a slew of alternative investment hires including a commitment to Man AHL within its risk-based investments portfolio.
The trend following strategy is in addition to Systematica Investments, which was hired late last year to manage $1.8 billion in a currency overlay program. Man AHL received a $300 million commitment.
